Cheese Sauce

Perfect with veggies or yummy homemade macaroni and cheese!


  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black or white pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup grated sharp Cheddar or smoky flavor Cheddar cheese


  1. Melt butter; remove from heat.
  2. Stir in flour and seasonings.
  3. Gradually add milk, stirring until well mixed.
  4. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and smooth.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes longer; add cheese.
  6. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  7. Serve with pasta or vegetables.
